The Town of Huntersville, American Legion Post 321 & Sons of the American Legion Post 321 will be holding their 8th Annual Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10 a.m.
This year’s parade theme is “Honoring our Past; Our Veterans of the Forgotten War” with the goal of honoring the veterans who fought in the Korean War.

It will take end at Veterans Park, 201 Huntersville-Concord Road, Huntersville.
You’re invited to line the streets to cheer on the parade participants and then meet back at Veterans Park for the 11 a.m. ceremony to honor and remember those who serve and have served.

Grand Marshal 2023
This year’s Grand Marshal is Joseph V Moyer. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Navy in 1948 and went through boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. Upon graduation from boot camp he was assigned to Fighter Squadron VF 174 in Jacksonville, FL. He completed Aviation Electrician School in Memphis, TN in 1949 and was an AE 2 upon discharge in 1952. His squadron served tours of duty on the largest ships in the world at that time, the aircraft carriers USS Midway, FDR and Coral Sea, during the Korean war.
