
Plan Spooky Season with this list of haunted trails near Charlotte, North Carolina! All of the attractions listed below are within driving distance of Charlotte — some closer than others, of course. We’ve listed the basic info for each attraction, but make sure to follow the links to get the latest info, and to buy tickets in advance if required.
These are all outdoor attractions, so you should call them or check their social media if the weather is questionable.
Some or most of these haunted trails will not be suitable for young children.

Ticket prices vary by day; the ranges are as follows:
- General admission: $5 deposit and the rest paid in cash at the door. Card not accepted. Door prices range from $25 – $45 depending on the day.
- VIP admission: Ranges from $45 – $65 prepaid online depending on the day. This ticket allows you to skip the line.
The 170-acre farm will be transformed into the scariest haunted trail in the region. The trail is over a mile long with natural uneven ground, so wear appropriate footwear. Reservations are required.

Often listed as one of the best haunts in North Carolina. Lake Hickory Haunts includes 13 unique haunted attractions, all around the lake.

Themed sets: Mineshaft, Pirate Ship, Backwoods Theater (new), Boogerassic Park, Booger Labs, Earl’s Small Engine Repair, Twister, Midnight Taxi, Booger Maze, Club Booger, Boogerwoods Campground, Booger Vortex, The Museum. Raises money for help cure Cystic Fibrosis.

The attraction is different every year and is one of the most popular ones in the area. Expect a wait unless you spring for a fast pass.

The Haunted Pyramids

General admission is $30, VIP is $45. Both tickets include admission to all 5 attractions.
The Haunted Pyramids, The Abandoned, Carnival of Terror, Millbilly Manor, and Dr. Venom’s Snake Pit. There’s also a maze called 1313 Mockingbird Maze Escape Room for $5.

Forbidden Forest

SCarowinds is the biggest and most elaborate haunted attraction in Charlotte. It’s also the most expensive. We often have Carowinds discounts available. We’ll update here if we do.
