The Charlotte area is ready for fall and Halloween! Here’s a list of haunted trails, corn mazes, fall farm activities and more, for the 2023 season.
Some of these are a little bit of a drive, and are in areas that we don’t typically include in Charlotte on the Cheap, but are worth checking out.

This 4th generation family farm grows over 100 different types of pumpkins, including heirloom varieties. Tractor-pulled wagon rides include a pumpkin from the patch. There are also playground, tire mountains, a wooden maze, educational exhibits and a corn crib. In addition they sell mountain apples and a large variety of homegrown cooking pumpkins and fall squash.

Riverbend grows several varieties of pumpkins and gourds. There are 4 large wagons that go to and from the fields on the weekends, so you can stay as long as you want. The farm also has a large farm-themed playground and more.

Carrigan Farms will offer two fall attractions. Sunflower picking and DIY sunflower field photo shoots in September and October. Reservations are required. Price varies by activity. And Pumpkin picking will take place all October, weather permitting. Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch and pick your own pumpkin.
