When is Trick or Treating in the Charlotte area in 2022? This is a commonly asked question and the answer is simple. October 31st. Neighborhood trick or treating is always on October 31st in the Charlotte area. It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is, or what else is going on. It’s always on Halloween.
That said, there are many, many events at shopping centers, festivals, churches, and more, that include trick or treat or trunk or treat. That’s what this list is all about.
As Halloween approaches, we are listing trick-or-treat and trunk-or-treat opportunities in the Charlotte area.
Typically, many festivals include trick-or-treating with vendors for kids. Churches and other organizations offer trunk-or-treat, where people decorate their cars and hand out candy. We’ll be adding these events as we hear of them.
So if you’d like to take your kids to an organized activity, rather than go door to door, check out this list. Or if your kids just want to maximize their candy take, this list will help.

And when it’s all over, maybe you can convince your kids to take some of their excess candy to a Halloween candy buyback event at a local dentist office and get some cold, hard cash.
Let us know what else should be on the list and we’ll add it as time permits.
