
CLT NYE presented by Ally, Charlotte’s Uptown New Year’s Eve celebration, is back! Say goodbye to 2021 and hello to 2022 at this party at Tryon Street and Levine Avenue of the Arts.
This is a free event.

It will start at 8 p.m. and will include:
- Live music
- Lighting of the Queen City crown
- DJ
- Food trucks
- Paper crowns for the kids
- Fireworks at midnight
A DJ and food trucks will kick off the celebration at 8 p.m., and then at 10 p.m., Charlotte band Mo Money will take the stage.
Just before midnight, the countdown to 2022 will begin, and the Charlotte crown will be lit. Fireworks will be launched at midnight.
Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, representatives from presenting sponsor Ally, and others will lead the countdown.
You’re encouraged to use public transit to make the the evening easy and affordable. The best Blue Line stops would be:
- CTC Station
- 3rd Street Station
- Stonewall Station
Masks are encouraged.
Levine Avenue of the Arts will close between South Tryon and South Church at 9 a.m. on December 31st. And then, South Tryon Street will close between Stonewall Street and MLK Boulevard starting at 5 p.m.
Both streets will reopen during the overnight hours.
