
CLT NYE presented by Ally, Charlotte’s Uptown New Year’s Eve celebration, is back! Say goodbye to 2022 and hello to 2023 at this party at Tryon Street and Levine Avenue of the Arts.
This is a free event and if you’re looking for fireworks near you, this is the place to be! It’s the only New Year’s Eve fireworks show in Uptown Charlotte.

CLT NYE starts at 8 p.m. on December 31st, 2022, and includes
- Food trucks
- A DJ
- A live performance by Mo’ Money at 10 p.m.
Just before midnight, the countdown to 2022 will begin, and the Charlotte crown will be lit.
Fireworks will be launched at midnight.
You’re encouraged to use public transit to make the the evening easy and affordable. The best Blue Line stops would be:
- CTC Station
- 3rd Street Station
- Stonewall Station
You can expect street closures. If the plan is like last year, then Levine Avenue of the Arts will close between South Tryon and South Church at 9 a.m. on December 31st. And then, South Tryon Street will close between Stonewall Street and MLK Boulevard starting at 5 p.m. We will update with the specific street closure plans when they are announced.
