Christmas tree lighting celebrations are taking place all over the Charlotte area during the next month. At most of them, there will be additional entertainment and holiday activities for kids. Santa makes appearances at many.
You should know that the Uptown Tree has moved from The Square to 7th and Tryon, the location of Charlotte Christmas Village, which has moved from Romare Bearden park. Read about the Uptown Tree Lighting on November 29th and Charlotte Christmas Village.
Towns and cities all over the region, including Concord, Kannapolis, Pineville, Harrisburg, Mint Hill, and many more, also hold tree lighting celebrations, as do many shopping centers. As with any list on Charlotte on the Cheap, this one is growing, so keep checking back, and please let us know what else should be on it.
All of these are free events, and many include free activities, although there will be activities that have a cost, as well as food and drink you might want to purchase.
For the Uptown tree lighting celebrations, consider taking the light rail so you can avoid worrying about parking. But here’s an Uptown Charlotte Parking Guide to help.
