Christmas tree lighting celebrations are taking place all over the Charlotte area in November and December of 2019. At most of them, there will be additional entertainment and holiday activities for kids. Santa makes appearances at many.
Uptown Charlotte tree lighting events include the NASCAR Hall of Fame Tree Lighting on November 30th, the Uptown Charlotte Tree Lighting, on December 5th,(check back soon for details, but it will be at Charlotte Christmas Village), and the Carolina Panthers Tree Lighting, which hasn’t been announced yet (but that we hope will take place again in front of Bank of America Stadium.)
Towns and cities all over the region, including Concord, Kannapolis, Pineville, Harrisburg, Mint Hill, and many more, also hold tree lighting celebrations, as do many shopping centers. As with any list on Charlotte on the Cheap, this one is growing, so keep checking back, and please let us know what else should be on it.
All of these are free events, and many include free activities, although there will be activities that have a cost, as well as food and drink you might want to purchase.
For the Uptown tree lighting celebrations, consider taking the light rail so you can avoid worrying about parking. But here’s an Uptown Charlotte Parking Guide to help.
