The Town of Cornelius is holding the 14th Annual Light Up Cornelius on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The activities are in Downtown Cornelius, at 21445 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, North Carolina.
Catawba Avenue will be closed to traffic between the Cain Center and Town Hall, with the road becoming a festival street.
The celebration includes:
- Community group performances
- Children’s activities
- Sledding hill
- Trackless train rides
- Model train display
- Food and drink
- S’mores
- Visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

- 4:00 p.m. – Event begins
- 4:20 p.m. – Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive
- 6:30 p.m. – Tree Lighting ceremony! (& activities close)
- 7:00 p.m. – Event ends

- 4:15-4:45 p.m. – North Carolina Youth Orchestra
- 5:00-5:30 p.m. – North Mecklenburg Community Chorus
- 5:45-6:30 p.m. – Lake Norman Orchestra Jazz Ensemble
Life Fellowship Church will also be caroling throughout the evening.
