
Frank’s Chili Fest is a community street festival in Plaza Midwood that raises funds for unexplained pediatric death research and family grief support.
It will take place Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, at Commonwealth Avenue and Thomas Street in Plaza Midwood.
It will take place from 12 to 4:30 p.m.

The street festival is free.
Wristbands are $20 (and free for kids under age 5.) The wristbands allow you to taste all the chili you want from Charlotte’s pro and amateur chefs.
Music Lineup:
- 12 to 1 p.m.: Captain Lunchbox
- 3 to 4:30 p.m.: Kaska Sun
Chili judges:
- Chrissie Nelson Rotko: cookbook author
- Ben Jarrell, Chef and journalist
- Kristen Wile: Food critic and food journalist
- Jenna Simons: Two time chili champion
