Historic Downtown Lincolnton, NC, is celebrating the holiday season with a Christmas parade, tree lighting, free Santa visits, carriage rides and more.

Lincolnton is about 44 minutes northwest of the center of Charlotte, and 21 minutes north of Gastonia.
Candy Land Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting
Lincolnton’s Candy Land Christmas Parade will take place on Sunday, November 28th, 2021, at 4 p.m., and the tree lighting will follow at the end of the parade.
The tree lighting will be at Court Square in the middle of Downtown Lincolnton. (Main Street and Aspen Street.)
Santa House and Carriage Rides
Candyland Christmas will continue on every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from December 2nd to 18th, 2021.
On each of these evenings, Santa will be greeting North Pole visitors at Court Square from 5 to 8 p.m. there’s no charge. He’ll be on the NE Court Square at Sycamore Street.
And there will be carriage and wagon rides each of these evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The rides depart from the 100 or 200 block of East Main Street. Cash only. No reservations. Carriage rides are $10 a person and wagon rides are $5 a person. Carriages generally accommodate 2 to 4 people and wagons hold 8 to 10 people.
Handmade for the Holidays
An artist and artisan market will take place on Friday, November 19th, from 3 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, November 20th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Citizens Center, 115 W. Main Street, Lincolnton.
