
The 6th Annual Mount Holly Lantern Parade takes place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 7 p.m. in downtown Mount Holly, NC.

This event has quickly because of a beloved tradition in Mount Holly, as the artful, lit-up lanterns bring magic to downtown Mount Holly.

See lanterns created by regional and local artists, as well as students from high schools, middle school and elementary schools.
The parade is hosted by Awaken Gallery, along with Mount Holly Community Development Foundation and the City of Mount Holly.
The theme this year is “Heroes and Villans.”

Awaken Gallery will be providing a live Facebook feed of the event, so you can still watch if you can’t attend.

The parade will start at Ida Rankin Elementary School, 301 W Central Avenue, Mt. Holly, and then proceed down Central Avenue, and turn right on Main Street, ending at the Mt. Holly Farmers’ Market.

There will be a free lantern-making workshop at Confluence, 117 Center Street, Cramerton, NC, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 1 to 4 p.m. Registration is required and there’s limited space.
