The Town of Davidson, Davidson College and Davidson Lands Conservancy are joining together to host Earth Day Festival and NatureFest on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Town Green, 119 S Main Street, Davidson, North Carolina.
It’s free to attend.
This expanded event brings together wildlife encounters, hands‑on environmental activities, and sustainability education for all ages.
Families can enjoy NatureFest’s popular wildlife experiences featuring snakes, lizards, owls, bees, and more. Nature‑themed crafts and games, along with engaging displays of insects, trees, and other natural elements, will offer many opportunities for interactive learning.
Conservation partners—including Davidson College scientists, World of Wonder, and native plant specialists—will share knowledge about wildlife, habitats, and the natural world.
The Earth Day portion of the festival features more than 20 exhibits on topics such as pollinators, composting, recycling, aquaponics, waste reduction, wildlife‑friendly landscaping, and climate action.
Town staff will be available to discuss local climate initiatives, tree care, electric landscape equipment, and electric vehicles.
Interactive exhibits and hands‑on demonstrations throughout the festival reflect the 2026 EarthDay.org theme Our Power, Our Planet, showing how collective leadership and individual choices can contribute to community‑wide environmental impact.
Participants who walk or bike to the festival or complete a Learning Passport will be entered into a raffle. Free native plants from DLC will be available while supplies last.
