
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is presenting the Trail of History Festival on Saturday, April 8th, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Elizabeth Park, 101 N Kings Drive, Charlotte, NC.
This is the first year for this annual, one-day event that celebrates the history, growth and development of Mecklenburg County
The festival will feature:
- Historic interpreters
- Historical art demonstrations
- Children’s activities
- Local historians
- Tours of the bronze statues (see below)
- Live music by Tom Eure and Amelia Osborne
- Olde Mecklenburg Brewery’s biergarten

The Trail of History, on Little Sugar Creek Greenway, features statues that represent Charlotte’s 250-year diverse ethnic, religious and political history.
