The Schiele Museum of Natural History, 1500 E Garrison Blvd, in Gastonia, is hosting a fun new activity for kids age 12 and under.
Winter Wonderland Sock Skating is an indoor rink where kids wearing socks, instead of skates, glide over the “ice.”
It’s a great way to use up some of that energy and have lots of fun, no matter what the weather is like.
Tickets are $3, and free for Museum members.
Children age 3 and under must be attended by an adult while on the ice.
Winter Wonderland opens on January 16th, and runs through March, 2021. It opens to members on January 15th.
- Monday to Friday: 10 am. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Socks and masks are required.
Order your ticket in advance. Tickets are limited.
In addition, starting January 15th, 2021, Schiele will present weekly Friday Night Light programs scheduled through February. This is an after-hours planetarium program. Each week it will be a different program. Limited seating.
If you purchase a ticket to Friday Night Lights, Winter Wonderland Sock Skating will be included at no extra charge.
