The second Romanian-American Festival in Matthews takes place Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Stumptown Park, 120 S Trade Street, Matthews, North Carolina.

Admission is free.

The festival features:

11 a.m.: Opening Ceremony. The Bethany Brass Band will play the Romanian and American national anthems, followed by classical music
Live Folk Music: Enjoy live performances by our special guest Adriana Bucevschi and other local artists.
All-Day Vibes: Background music and party energy provided throughout the day by DJ Elite Entertainment.

Food and Drink:

Savory Classics: Fresh mici, traditional cabbage rolls with polenta, and hearty beans with sausages, brisket, pork belly, pulled pork with yummy sides like mac & cheese, Bbq beans, and more—all prepared and sold directly through RO Carolina thanks to the incredible support of local pillar Romanian cooks.
Famous Desserts: Save room for iconic Romanian sweets like amandine, savarine, eclairs, homemade cheese pastries, apple strudels, dobos, cremes, sweet bread, traditional crackers and more.
Drinks: Cold beer will be available on-site, plus two fantastic local Romanian vendors serving traditional “cafea la ibric” and other refreshing non-alcoholic beverages.
