Charlotte Mecklenburg Library holds Community Book Sales throughout the year. These sales are a great way to find new and gently used books for yourself and for gifts. Fiction, non-fiction and children’s materials are available.
You’ll find great deals on beach reads and more at these book sales.
Donations of your excess books are welcome for the sales, and you can drop off one box or bag a day at any Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. Do not leave them outside. Call before heading out to make sure that the library is open and able to receive your donation.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Community Book Sales — 2026
All of these sales take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please check Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s page on the sales, to make sure there haven’t been any changes. Some of these book sales have special themes, assuming that the library has enough books with the theme. But all book sales will have an assortment of materials.
