The Knothole Foundation is offering a FREE Mother-Daughter Softball Clinic the day before Mother’s Day. It takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., at The Stick Williams Dream Fields, 7531 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.
About the Event
Moms (or mother figures) and daughters of all skill levels! It’s time to dust off your cleats, or try them on for the very first time, and get back in the game.
This Mother’s Day, Knothole Foundation is celebrating the women who paved the way. Whether your playing days are a recent memory, a chapter you’ve been waiting to reopen, or a brand new adventure you’ve never tried before, you’re invited to join with your daughter (ages 4 – 18) for a special one-day softball clinic.
This event is designed for connection, competition, and community. We’ve heard the stories of the “glory days,” but we also want to welcome those who are curious about the sport. Now is your chance to play alongside the next generation of athletes in a completely beginner-friendly environment.
Not able to participate in the physical drills?
The Knothole Foundation wants every family to experience this day together. If you are unable to participate in the physical drills, they still want you there! They will have mentors and partner families ready to jump in so every girl has a teammate to work with on the field.
What to Expect
- No Equipment Needed: Don’t have a glove or a bat? No problem! They will provide everything you need to play.
- Partner Drills: Work on fundamentals with your daughter through fun, interactive stations tailored to your experience level.
- Competitions: Test your teamwork in lighthearted group competitions.
- And More…
Knothole Foundation
The Knothole Foundation is increasing access and opportunities for underserved youth through team participation and skills development – both on and off the field. Their long term vision is to create communities where every child has the option to play, learn and grow as a person.
They are devoted to removing the racial inequity and expensive barriers of facilities, equipment and instruction by providing underrepresented youth the access to ‘America’s game’ that they deserve.
