Kite Festival at Hindu Center of Charlotte Jan 14

The Hindu Center of Charlotte is hosting a Kite Festival on Sunday, January 14th, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

It’s free to attend and open to the whole community.

The Hindu Center is at 7400 City View Drive, Charlotte.

There will be music from a DJ, fun games and activities for all ages, food for purchase, and vendors.

You can buy kites and threads at the festival or bring your own.

Kite flying is a part of the Makara Sankranti or Uttarayan festival, in January, which marks the transition day of the sun into Capricorn. Many multi-day festivals take place all over India.
