Kannapolis has a lot in store for the 2018 Christmas season. Most of the events take place at Village Park.
- Kannapolis kicks off the holiday season with its tree lighting event on Saturday, November 24th, 2018 at Village Park, 700 West C Street, starting at 6 p.m. Enjoy live music and entertainment, kids’ activities and fireworks. Admission is free. The cost of the train ride is $2.
- From November 24th through December 30th (with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) enjoy the Celebration of Lights & Winterland Express. You can walk through Village Park or take the Winterland Express to view the lights. It’s free to walk through the park and $2 for the train. Roast marshmallows, make s’mores, meet Santa or Mrs. Claus. Enjoy a 30-minute Christmas carol performance on the hour, starting at 6 p.m. Children will also have an opportunity to create ornaments. It will be open Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- The Kannapolis Christmas Parade takes place December 8th, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., on the streets of downtown Kannapolis. It starts at the intersection of Main St. and Dale Earnhardt Blvd.
