
Harrisburg is a small town that celebrates the 4th of July in a big way. The town puts on a big parade and a two-day festival. That means two days of rides, fun and music, and two nights of fireworks, as well as a parade on the morning of July 4, 2025.
The festival is free to attend. Ride tickets will be available for purchase.

The Harrisburg July 4th Celebration will take place Thursday, July 3, and Friday, July 4, 2025.
It will include fireworks, amusements, food, a parade, and entertainment.
4th of July Parade
The parade takes place Friday, July 4, 2025. It starts at 9 a.m. at Captain Steve’s, on Hwy 49 and will travel down Hwy 49 to the intersection of Hwy 49 and Robinson Avenue. Spectators are advised to not stand on the southbound lane side of Hwy 49 to view the parade.
Festival
The festival will take place at Harrisburg Park, 191 Sims Parkway, Harrisburg, NC, July 3 and 4, 2025.
- Thursday, July 3: 4 to 10 p.m.
- Friday, July 4: 4 to 11 p.m.
The festival includes music, amusements, food and drinks and more, ending with a fireworks finale both nights.
Thursday, July 3
- 4 p.m.: Harrisburg Park opens
- 4 to 10 p.m.: Amusements and food vendors open
- 5 p.m.: “The Spirit of America” performance
- 6 p.m.: Chris Taylor & The Rumor
- 7:30 p.m.: National Anthem and Mayor’s welcome
- 8 p.m.: September, a tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire
- 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks
- 10 p.m.: Park closes
Friday, July 4
- 4 p.m.: Harrisburg Park opens
- 4 to 11 p.m.: Amusements and food vendors open
- 4:15 p.m.: Mayor’s Invitational Cornhole Tournament
- 5:15 p.m.: “The Spirit of America” performance
- 6 p.m.: Groove Machine
- 7:30 p.m.: National Anthem and Mayor’s welcome
- 8 p.m.: Get Poison’d
- 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks
- 11 p.m.: Park closes
Amusements
Wristbands provide two-day unlimited ride access. They are $20 for Harrisburg residents and $35 for non-residents. You can purchase them online. Veterans get one free wristband and can buy additional ones for $10 each.
Amusement tickets are $10 for 20 if you don’t buy a wristband.

Viewing areas for fireworks
If you just want to see the fireworks show, and not go to the festival, there are several viewing areas that are recommended by the Town of Harrisburg, although they mention that updated information on viewing locations might be forthcoming.
Excellent – 90-100% of the show
- Z-Max Blvd. parking lots – The Town of Harrisburg offers event parking off of Z-Max Blvd. in Harrisburg. Z-Max Blvd. is located off Highway 49, between Morehead Road and Interstate 485.
- Harris Depot Park – 6960 Harris Depot Road in Harrisburg is located off of Harris Depot Road and is home to the Harrisburg Farmer’s Market.
- Stallings Park – 4050 Stallings Rd, Harrisburg, NC 28075
Fair – 50-75% of the show
- Anderson Uniform Co. – 5630 NC-49, Harrisburg, NC 28075
