
The 30th Festival of India takes place September 19 and 20, 2026, from 12 to 8 p.m., at Belk Theater, 130 N Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Tickets are $5, including sales tax and ticket fees. Purchase tickets.
The festival includes:
- Cultural exhibits
- Indian dance performances
- Art gallery
- Interactive kids’ art corner
- Henna art
- Saree draping
- Turban tying
- Indian cuisine at the food court
- Indian souvenirs at the Bazaar
- Yoga exhibit
- Ayurveda exhibit
- Dance workshop
There are typically performances outside all day, and you’ll also find multiple food vendors and souvenir vendors outside, along Tryon Street, which is closed to traffic during the event. There’s no cost to enjoy the outside performances.
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, Charlotte Symphony will present Bollywood-inspired orchestral music of A.R. Rahman, featuring a live guest vocalist, on the Belk stage.



Inside Belk Theater, enjoy dance performances on the main stage. In the lobbies you’ll find art exhibits, and interactive activities like turban tying, henna tattoos, and sari wearing, for low prices. To enjoy the indoor activities, you’ll need to purchase a ticket.
