
Celebrate Earth Day at Earth Jam 2026 at Robbins Park, 17738 W Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, North Carolina, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m.
This is a free, family-friendly festival that will feature over local organizations with a focus on creating a change in our community to be a little kinder to the planet.
Live music will be performed by McKinney Gap.
Over 20 local organizations will be on hand to provide interactive demonstrations on sustainability, conservation, and living an eco-friendly life. Just a sampling of these include:
- Kenzie’s Crayons will be peeling used crayons to melt down into new crayons
- Trees Charlotte will be providing tree seedlings
- Flora Farms has seed starting activity & selling salad greens from their farm
- Master Gardners Meck County will have a bug stick activity to show the life cycle of a bug and educating people on testing soil
- Meck County Solid Waste, Recycle Right, an interactive activity on how to properly recycle in Meck County
- NC Conservation Network will have an I Spy game to teach kids what common water pollutants are
- North Meck Community Farmers Market will have a workshop on garden planting & giving away seedlings
- Northern Regional Rec Center is hosting a game called “How to Help Mother Earth” and will have a prize basket raffle
- Queens Order Honey will be bringing out their observation hive, which allows people to view bees at work in a safe and contained way. They will also be doing honey samples and will have some honey for sale.
- Quest Nature Center will be ringing out their mobile outreach van and will be doing lessons on wildlife and the importance of trees
- Carolina Custom Pallet Art will be showcasing how he breaks down shipping pallets to create custom artwork and selling some of his work.
Please bring your lawn chairs and blankets, but no pets, no smoking, no e-cigs or vaping, no open flames and no glass containers.
