Charlotte Academy of Music is offering a FREE acting workshop based on material from The Spongebob Musical Youth Edition on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., at 15040 Idlewild Road, Suite C, Matthews, NC.
It’s for ages 11-18. The workshop is free, but registration is required.
Comedy is not for the simple sponge!
Great comedy takes bold choices, fearless physicality, and razor-sharp timing — and that’s exactly what this intensive acting workshop is designed to build.
Using material from The SpongeBob Musical Youth Edition, performers will explore:
- Physical comedy and expressive movement
- Comedic timing, pacing, and reactions
- Making specific, committed character choices
Come ready to move big, think fast, and commit completely — because in Bikini Bottom, comedy is serious business.
