The U.S. National Whitewater Center is planning Green River Revival on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Green River Revival is one of Charlotte’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day events, featuring the Color Me Green 5K Trail Run, a 1/2 Mile Kids’ Run, live music, yoga, and a green river.
The musical artists are Sam Burchfield & The Scoundrels, Surfing for Daisy and Magnolia Boulevard.

It’s free to attend the festival and to enjoy the music and yoga. There’s a fee for the trail run and for rafting and other Whitewater Center activities. Parking is $13. (A year-long parking pass is $45.)

- 9 a.m.: Color Me Green 5K (Competitive Division)
- 9 a.m.: 1/2 Mile Kids’ Run
- 9:30 a.m.: Slow Flow Yoga
- 10:30 a.m.: Color Me Green 5K (Recreational Division)
- 11:30 a.m.: Open Flow Yoga
- 12 p.m.: Wildwoods event begins
- 1 p.m.: River turns green
- 1 p.m.: Live music: Magnolia Boulevard
- 2 p.m.: Open Flow Yoga
- 3 p.m.: Live music: Surfing for Daisy
- 4 p.m.: Wildwoods event en ds
- 6 p.m.: Live music: Sam Burchfield & The Scoundrels
- 5 p.m.: Fun Flow Yoga
Color Me Green 5K Trail Run
Run a 5K while avoiding or embracing the green powder being thrown at participants.
There will be two divisions for the Color Me Green 5K Trail Run — Competitive division and recreational division, and kids’ run. Registration for the 5K ranges from $45 to $55. It’s less expensive if you registerer in advance.
Registration for the Kids’ Run ranges from $18 to $23. Register by March 11 for the lower prices.
Awards:
- Competitive Division: Overall top 5 male and female finishers
- Recreational Division: Overall top 3 male and female finishers; Cleanest and Greenest
- Kids’ Run: Overall top 3 boy and girl finishers
