Yap Ye Iswa Festival (Day of the Catawba) is returning to Rock Hill on Saturday, May 18th, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It will take place at Catawba Cultural Center, 1536 Tom Steven Road, Rock Hill.
This is a free event to celebrate the art, history and culture of the Catawba people.
Many of the activities are free, but there is a small charge for children’s games. Food, memorabilia and art will be available for purchase. Some artists might not be able to process credit card payment, so cash is recommended.
Parking will be located at the Catawba Nation Longhouse located at 996 Avenue of the Nation, as well as at the Latter Day Saints Church at 1989 Reservation Road in Rock Hill, SC. Buses from Catawba Head Start and Catawba Transit will provide rides between parking lots and the festival site. Parking will not be allowed along the roadway.
Bathrooms will be available at several locations on site.
