Waverly, at Providence Road and Ardrey Kell Road, Charlotte, NC, is celebrating World Bee Day on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This free, family event takes place at the Terrace.
Waverly is the proud home of two honey bee hives and 13,500 honey bees. Bring the family out to learn more and celebrate the honey bees.
- Learn about the importance of bees and beekeeping from Waverly’s professional beekeeper
- Enjoy giveaways featuring honey from Waverly’s honey bees
- Plant a pack of wildflower seeds at Waverly (and take a pack to plant at home)
- Indulge in a delicious honey dessert
- Paint the large coloring wall, sponsored by Small Hands Big Art
