The Charlotte area will have another choice for outdoor ice skating in the winter of 2024. Adding to the list of ice skating rinks (Whitewater Center, Birkdale Village, Truist Field, Camp North End and Rock Hill, if all of these open again this year), will be a new seasonal rink in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
Union County Parks & Recreation announced that Union County Ice Rink will be operate daily from November 25, 2024, to January 20, 2025, at 6467 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail, North Carolina. That’s about 18 southeast of the center of Charlotte, and is very close to people in Matthews, Stallings and southeast Charlotte.
Tickets
Each ticket will include skate rental and an hour of ice time. Tickets are $12. Children under age 3 are admitted for free. All payments are cashless.
You can bring your own skates, but the ticket price will remain the same.
Hours of Operation
Opening hours are November 25, 2024, to January 20, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. The rink will be open seven days a week, every day except November 28 (Thanksgiving) and December 25 (Christmas.)
The rink will be open regular hours on New Year’s Day.
Skating Sessions
- Session 1: 2-3 p.m.
- Session 2: 3:15-4:15 p.m.
- Session 3: 4:30-5:30 p.m.
- Session 4: 5:45-6:45 p.m.
- Session 5: 7-8 p.m.
- Session 6: 8:15-9:15 p.m.
