Sullenberger Aviation Museum, 4108 Minuteman Way, Charlotte, North Carolina, is offering FREE admission to moms on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, 2026. Hours are 12 to 4:30 p.m.
The museum honors Captain C.B. “Sully” Sullenberger, who, with his crew, safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River in New York, with no loss of life. This flight had just taken off for Charlotte. The safe landing is known as the “Miracle on the Hudson.”

The centerpiece of the museum is the plane that Sullenberger piloted in the “Miracle on the Hudson” landing. The museum also teaches about the history of flight and the people who made it possible.

In addition, the museum features a plaza where you can view an assortment of planes, and watch planes take off, and a hands-on area, Honeywell Makerspace.
Regular price is $24 for adults, $20 for seniors (65+), $18 for kids (5-17), free for kids under 5, and $20 for military, veterans, educators and aviation professionals.
