
After a hiatus of several years, the Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day and Festival are returning in 2023! The new organizer, the Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Committee, is a North Carolina non-profit, 501C3 corporation, and are working to make sure that the tradition continues for many years.

You can purchase an advertisement in the inaugural Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade Magazine to help defray the costs for Police, Insurance, and permits. Go to www.charlottestpats.com to place an ad in the magazine, become a Sponsor, sign-up as a Vendor, or Participate in the parade. The deadline for Ads is February 15th. All parade participants must be registered by March 1st to be included.
The parade and festival (formerly known as the Charlotte Goes Green Festival) will take place on Saturday, March 11th, 2023:
- Parade: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Festival: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Charlotte Patrick’s Day Parade
The parade (formerly known as the Charlotte Goes Green Festival) steps off at 11 a.m. It starts at Tryon Street and 9th Street and will march down Tryon Street with bagpipes, marching bands, floats and more than 1,000 marchers.
In past years, the parade drew over 80,000 spectators.
Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Festival
The festival, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., will extend down Tryon Street from 3rd Street to Levine Avenue of the Arts, where a stage across Tryon Street will have bands, Irish dancer and more.
The festival will also feature artisan vendors, food trucks and activities for children.
There is no admission charge to the event, but some of the activities have costs associated with them.
