QC Family Tree is hosting an art show, Spilling: Beyond the Palette at The Arts Factory, 1545 W Trade Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, from February 11 to April 19, 2026.
There will be an opening reception on February 11, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. It’s free to attend.
This is a group exhibition about FOOD, curated by Jasiatic Usher and Marquia Humphries.
Spilling: Beyond the Palette is an exhibition that explores food as subject, symbol, and shared experience. Featuring work by over 30 local artists, the show moves beyond traditional still life to examine how food connects us to culture, memory, labor, pleasure, and more.
Across photography, ceramics, painting, digital illustration, and sculptural forms, the artists allow us to examine ingredients and meals in unexpected ways. Their artworks celebrate both the everyday and the imaginative, honoring food as nourishment for bodies and stories alike.
The Rhizome Arts Market will be set up at The Arts Factory at the same time.
