National Night Out is a program that encourages local police departments to connect with the community in a fun way, and encourages the community members to stand together for safety and awareness. The official date is the first Tuesday in August, although not all communities hold their National Night Out event on that date. Many events also take place in October.
Some National Night Out events are for the general public and some are for members of specific communities or neighborhoods.
There are many National Night Out events being held in the Charlotte area.
Pineville Police Department is hosting their National Night Out on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 6 p.m., at Pineville Lake Park, 909 Lakeview Drive, Pineville, North Carolina. The event takes place under the large pavilion.
It’s free to attend, and includes:
- Free food
- Kona Ice
- Petting zoo
- Face painting
- Gus the Bus
- Raffle
- Nintendo Switch 2 available to play
