The Town of Huntersville, along with American Legion Post 321, invites the community to a virtual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 25th, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
As part of the ceremony, the Town of Huntersville is putting a virtual Memorial Gallery on display to remember the nation’s service members.
They are asking for photos of people whom residents will be remembering on Memorial Day. The photos will be shared on Huntersville Parks & Recreation social media channels and town website.
Photos must be submitted by May 20 and include the service member’s name, branch of service, and year entering and year leaving the military.
Photos can be scanned and emailed to Lindsay Small at LSmall@huntersville.org with the email subject line “Virtual Memorial Gallery.”
Photos can also be mailed to the Town Center Offices, Attn: Virtual Memorial, P.O. Box 2879, Huntersville, NC 28070. If mailing your photos be sure to protect them inside the envelope so they don’t bend and include your return address. The town will mail the photos back to you after they have been scanned.
For more information, please contact Lindsay Small, Downtown Events and Facility Coordinator at 704-766-2253 or LSmall@huntersville.org.
