
The Town of Fort Mill, South Carolina, is holding a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10 a.m., at Unity Cemetery, 303 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, South Carolina.
This special ceremony honors the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States and will include remarks by Mayor Guynn Savage, the Reading of the Names of the Fallen by Fort Mill Town Council, a special reading by the 2026 South Carolina Strawberry Festival Queens, Posting & Retirement of Colors by Scout Troop 219, the Laying of the Wreath & Rifle Volley by American Legion Post 43 & Ladies Auxiliary, the National Anthem, and special music by Anna Davis.
Community members who would like to honor a fallen service member during the ceremony are encouraged to submit the individual’s name, rank, and branch of service to jhester@fortmillsc.gov by Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
The event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available at the Fort Mill Utilities Department, located at 131 E. Elliott Street near the cemetery.
The ceremony will be recorded and posted later on the Town of Fort Mill YouTube channel, @fortmilltv. Complimentary lemonade for attendees will be provided by Anchors Aweigh Lemonade.
Please note that Fort Mill Town Hall will be closed on Memorial Day in observance of the holiday.
