Resident Culture Brewing Company, 2101 Central Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina, is hosting Lunar New Year celebrations on February 21, 2026. This is always a free, family-friendly event.

Welcome the Year of the Horse at this celebration. There will be festivities at both the Plaza Midwood location (2101 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC) and the 7th Street Taproom at Market at 7th Street (224 E 7th Street, Charlotte, NC.) Read on to learn what’s going on at each location.

Plaza Midwood Location

1 to 2 p.m.: Dumpling class with The Dumpling Lady
3:30 to 5:30 p.m.: Lunar New Year crafts
3 to 5:30 p.m.: Horse Shadow Run Farm will be on site with a live horse, offering a unique and meaningful way to honor the Year of the Horse
6 p.m.: Lion Dance performance by Thundering Waves
Gold chocolate coins and festive touches throughout the space

7th Street Location

1 p.m.: Lion Dance performance by Thundering Waves
