Getting to the festival and parking
Pedestrians should take special note that construction near the intersection of S. Kings Drive and E. Morehead Street is currently blocking access to Little Sugar Creek Greenway near Atrium Health. Pedestrians walking from East Boulevard and Freedom Park may use the sidewalks along S. Kings Drive to access the Kings Drive Art Walk. The detour is expected to be in place for two years due to a project underway by Charlotte Water.
Parking is available in several lots and along neighborhood streets around Little Sugar Creek. The KDAW asks our visitors to refrain from parking at retail parking lots/decks and any of the parking decks near Carolinas Medical Center. Streets must remain open around CMC open to ensure passage of emergency vehicles.
