
Musical Black History Experience with Author Ebony Lynn Mudd: Celebrating Tina Turner takes place Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Park Road Books, 4139 Park Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is a free event.
The book is best for kids ages 4-8, but everyone is welcome to this event.
Through a live read-aloud of the book JUST LIKE TINA: INSPIRED BY THE LIFE OF TINA TURNER, music listening, audience interaction, and reflection, the Author of the book explores how music helps us find our voice, how confidence is built over time, and how Black music legacy is passed down across generations.
What to Expect:
- A live reading from Just Like Tina with the Author
- A fun, interactive music listening game
- A short discussion of Black music as a family tree and Tina Turner’s lasting influence
- Light audience participation with real instruments
- A meaningful closing reflection and book signing
- This event is designed to be welcoming, joyful, and engaging for all ages.
- A book signing. Ebony will sign copies of Just Like Tina following the program.
