Head to Plaza Midwood on Saturday, November 30th, for Holiday Central. It’s a great way to celebrate Small Business Saturday.
There will be activities throughout the neighborhood, some ticketed and some free, as well as plenty of sales.
The evening before, head to Pizza Peel, 1600 Central Avenue, for their tree lighting celebration. Enjoy caroling, the tree lighting and free visits with Santa. It takes place Friday, November 29th, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Then, on Saturday, come back for Holiday Central. Here’s some of what’s going on:
The Pizza Peel

Children can decorate ornaments for the Plaza Midwood Christmas Tree.
Common Market

12 p.m. to 5p.m.
Surprise photo opportunity and a Punk Rock Accordion Player.
Moxie Mercantile
2008 Commonwealth Avenue
12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Pop-Ups with local vendors, The Archives and Jean’s Apothecare. Also there are free kids’ activities while supplies last.
Open Door Studios
1318 Central Avenue
1 to 2 p.m.: Holiday Central Youth Ensemble Performance
4 to 5 p.m.: Rest and Restore with Grace Millsap and Zen Within
Snug Harbor
1228 Gordon Street
1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Charlotte Punk Flea Market. Shop for stuff like original art, taxidermy, retro video games, oddities and more.
