Welcome the season at Merry Midwood Market and Tree Lighting in Plaza Midwood on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2 to 7 p.m.
Before this event there will be a pre-market movie screening of Elf at 12 p.m. at Emmy Squared, 1508 Central Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Merry Market will take place at 1600 Central Avenue and features:
- Holiday Market featuring local vendors and artisans
- Santa arrives at 4 p.m.
- Letters to Santa Station – Write and deliver your letter to Santa personally!
- Ornament Making Station sponsored by Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association
- Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 PM
- S’mores + Hot Cocoa Station
- Big Raffle with prizes from local businesses
Parking can be a challenge in Plaza Midwood, so if you’re close by and can walk or bike, that’s a good idea.
Otherwise, street parking is available in the surrounding area. There is also a free parking lot off of Thomas, but it fills up quickly. Paid parking is available at Wells Fargo on Central Ave – follow signage and instructions.
