
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is presenting a Holi Celebration at Elon Recreation Center. 11401 Ardrey Kell Road, Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The cost is $8 for Mecklenburg County residents and $10 for non-residents.
There will be free food for the first 300 participants, food trucks, safe gulal (colored powder), music, games for all ages, and a dance performance.
Holi is a popular Hindu festival. It’s also known as the “Festival of Love,” “The Festival of Colors,” and “The Festival of Spring.”
The most well-known aspect of Holi is a free-for-all throwing of colored powder at participants.
