Five Buck Friday Swing Dancing with Gottaswing Charlotte Oct. 17

Gottaswing Charlotte offers swing-era jazz dances like Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston and more. It’s a member of Gottaswing, a swing-only dance instruction and promotion company that operates all across the country.

You don’t need to have any swing dance experience to join in, and they don’t separate dancers into different levels. The idea is to have fun.

Besides the classes that they offer, which you can find on their website, they offer some fun and casual dances at low prices.

These dances focus on the fun of swing dancing, without a bunch of pretense or pressure. Just $12 gets you admission to an introductory lesson as well as an hour and a half of swing dancing with DJs playing the best toe-tappingest swing tunes ever recorded. Participants are welcome to wear casual clothes but encouraged to wear tropical attire.

We offer a drop-in “Introduction to Swing Dancing” lesson before the dance for no additional cost. No dedicated dance partner or dance experience needed, these lessons are designed to teach you everything you need to know to start having fun on the dance floor right away. Teens welcome with adult supervision.
