Did you know that Ray’s Splash Planet, the indoor water park at 215 North Sycamore Street run by Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation, offers free swim lessons for kids ages 5-10?
Parents need to sign up on a monthly basis. You have to show up in person, with your child, to sign your child up.
A public lottery will be held after registration. The next lottery is Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. Remember, your child needs to be present. The swim lessons will be on Monday and Wednesdays evenings in the summer.
This lottery event was announced on Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s Facebook page.
Free swim lessons are also available at the two outdoor pools, Cordelia Pool and Double Oaks Family Aquatic Center. Registration takes place weekly starting June 21, 2025. Learn more here.
