The Matthews Concert Band is a volunteer community band of professional and dedicated amateur musicians.
The band started in 2001 and now has around 60 members from all walks of life, who enjoy making music together each week.
Its mission is to encourage lifelong participation in music.
Its repertoire includes classic concert band standards, marches, Broadway selections and jazz favorites.

Matthews Concert Band presents several concerts throughout the year, free to the public. Donations are accepted.
Next up is their holiday concert, which will take place December 19th and 20th, 2022, at 7:30 p.m., at Matthews Community Center’s Fullwood Theatre, at 100 East McDowell Street, Matthews.
The concert will include many holiday favorites. It’s appropriate for all ages.
