Farmers Market Transportation Program is a new program by Mecklenburg County that offers FREE CATS Microtransit rides to some farmers’ markets in North Mecklenburg County to SNAP recipients.
To be eligible you must be currently enrolled in SNAP and must live in one of these zip codes: 28031, 28035, 28036, 28070, 28078.
The rides are to these farmers’ markets:
Davidson Farmers Market
120 S Main St, Davidson, NC 28036
Huntersville Growers’ Market
201 Huntersville-Concord Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078
North Meck Community Farmers Market
21445 Catawba Ave, Cornelius, NC 28031
If you’re eligible you can receive four round-trip micro-transit rides. Passes are valid for 60 days and can only be used within the North Mecklenburg Microtransit Zone.

How to get the rides
- Apply to confirm eligibility
- Receive your discount code
- Download the CATS-Pass App in the Apple store or Google Play store
- Select “Plan” in the app, enter your current location, and choose a participating farmers’ market as your destination
- Choose “Micro” if available
