El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día, is a celebration of children and of literacy. It takes place every year on the last Saturday of April.

On Saturday, April 25, 2025, celebrate Día at ImaginOn, 300 E 7th Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Opera Carolina presents Los Coyotes y Las Conejas. This delightful bilingual Mexican folktale integrates Spanish and celebrates the importance of lifelong learning through the adventures of Scrawny the coyote and his mischievous rabbit friends.
• El Punto/The Dot — Presented by the Frontline Puppeteers of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, inspired by the beloved story by Peter H. Reynolds.
