The Eastern Cabarrus Historical Society Museum is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through October.
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
The museum is housed in a building of the former Mount Pleasant Collegiate Institute, at 1145 N. College Street, Mt. Pleasant, NC.
Adults and children will enjoy touring the museum’s 30 themed rooms that celebrate the history of the area.
The Museum building contains 30 rooms holding artifacts, photographs and documents relating to the history of Eastern Cabarrus County and beyond.
Each room is themed and contains items donated or loaned to the Society by local individuals and families ranging from old farm tools and vintage clothing to items from the Civil War through the Iraq War.
On Sunday, August 8th, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a small quilting show at the museum. The show is by local quilter Sylvia Stancil. She will be available to answer questions and provide guidance and resources to beginning quilters.
This is a FREE event.
