Durag Festival is a Juneteenth celebration of Black art, music, fashion and culture. This year the festival theme is Juneteenth Homecoming, with a focus on HBCUs. It takes place Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 2 to 10 p.m. This is an age 18+ event.
General admission tickets are $59. This is a higher price than almost anything we include in Charlotte on the Cheap, and we acknowledge that it’s not cheap, but we felt it should be included in Juneteenth coverage.
The Durag Festival moves to a new location for 2025, the area near the Sugar Creek light rail station.
There will be two stages:
- Blackbox Theater, 421 E Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, NC
- The Pine, 4100 Raleigh Street, Charlotte, NC
Parking spots are limited. Take the light real to Sugar Creek Station for an easy walk to the event.
