Camp Invention – Girls Edition! is a weeklong summer STEM camp designed to empower girls in grades K-6 through hands-on innovation and creative problem-solving.
In partnership with The GO BIG Foundation, this program provides a safe and supportive environment where girls can explore science, technology, engineering, and math concepts while building confidence and fostering teamwork.
Camp activities include hands-on STEM experiments and creative design challenges, team-building games, and problem-solving adventures, where girls use their imagination to invent, build, and explore in a safe, high-energy setting. They work with certified educators who encourage confidence and curiosity. Throughout the camp, girls engage in creative, hands-on activities such as designing functional claw machines, creating optical illusion devices, launching plush penguins in eco-adventures, and assembling custom control panels to explore artificial intelligence.
Led by certified local educators, the camp encourages girls to imagine, invent, and inspire, laying the foundation for future success in STEM fields.
This amazing week-long girls-edition of Camp Invention is available for only $10, thanks to a generous donation from The Red Backpack Foundation by Sara Blakely in partnership with The GO BIG Foundation. (Families who need assistance with paying the $10 registration fee can request a waiver. Please contact Dr. Crystal Howe at crystal.howe@gobigcharlotte.org.) Limited space is available.
