To say that Charlotte’s brewery scene is exploding is almost an understatement. There are many, many craft breweries in the area now, as well as a growing number of distilleries and cideries.
Many of the breweries are in the South End (especially LoSo, the Lower South End) and NoDa. But they’re showing up also on the West Side, Plaza Midwood, Gaston County, Cabarrus County, University City, Union County, Lake Norman and more areas. The events of more of these breweries are being added to Charlotte on the Cheap.

Much of Charlotte’s social scene revolves around breweries, with live music, block parties, fitness classes, arts events, brewery tours, vendor markets and more going on all the time.
