Matthews Summerfest (formerly BeachFest Matthews) May 9-10

BeachFest Matthews is being rebranded as Matthews Summerfest, to include more music genres.

Matthews Summerfest, presented by Novant Health — Matthews Medical Center, takes place May 9 and 10, 2025.

Friday, May 9: 6 to 10 p.m.
Saturday, May 10: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The festival takes place in and around Stumptown Park, 120 S. Trade Street, Matthews.

Admission is free. There’s a cost for rides and other activities. On Friday night you can get a $30 wristband for all-you-can-ride night in the Carnival.

6:30 to 8 p.m.: Blackwater Band
8:30 to 10 p.m.: Captain Mike & The Shipwrecked
