Kings Mountain: Earth Day at the Gateway Trail April 18

The City of Kings Mountain is hosting Earth Day at the Gateway Trail on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Kings Mountain Gateway Trail.

Kings Mountain Gateway Trail is at 807 S. Battleground Avenue, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

The free event will feature:

Live zoo animals from Circle M Livestock Safari Park
Dinosaur friends from Dino Encounters by Ross
Spencer 2 Dogs Bolejack demonstrating survival skills and folk traditions
Gem mining
Storytelling from Project Local
Face painting
Woodworking
Food vendors
Entertaining by The Dancing Fleas, sponsored by Metal Recycling Services
Petty the Ghost Pepper
Releasing 200 Painted Lady butterflies back into their natural habitat
