Carolina Raptor Center, 6000 Sample Road, Huntersville, North Carolina, is celebrating International Vulture Awareness Day on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Vultures are nature’s “clean-up crews” and are important to the environment.
In honor of vultures’ “bald appearance,” anyone who is bald gets FREE admission this one day.
This event will feature vulture-themed programs, activities, and games in honor of all the work that vultures do.
The special activities and events are included in regular admission:
- Adults: $16
- Seniors, teachers, military members: $14
- Ages 13-22: $14
- Ages 3-13: $12
- Children under 3: FREE
- Members: Free
- Family of four or individuals participating in SNAP/EBT or WIC: FREE
- Members of Indigenous Tribal nations: FREE
- Bald guests: FREE
Carolina Raptor Center is within Latta Nature Preserve.
